25 steps toward a clean coffee table
It's amazing how 2 people fresh home from a trip can trash a room or four so quickly. At any rate I was picking up the living room this morning and saw some water on the coffee table...spilled while refreshing the cat water - yeah another story.
1. Go get paper towel in kitchen
2. Notice paper towel dispenser is empty
3. go to laundry room to get new package of paper towels.
4. Feed cat a few morsels since he followed you in there.
5. Grab laundry basket
6. go to bedroom and load dirty clothes from suitcases...
7. return to laundry room with basket of dirty clothes...
8. return to kitchen; sort through nonessential snail mail on counter
9. find "trash" on counter along with airline stubs and credit cards.
10. place things in safe places and mail pile in den
11. remember ear piece adapter was put in shirt pocket on the flight from Seattle
12. return to laundry room to look in dirty shirt pocket
13. check travel bags for adapter
14. attempt to remove traveling clutter from den
15. remove book from travel bag
16. return to living room with book
17. sit down with laptop and check email
18. decide to get coffee
19. again shift stuff around on coffee table
20. notice water spilled while refreshing cat water(another story)
21. go to kitchen for paper towel
22. notice paper towel rack is empty
23. go to laundry room for new package of paper towels
24. place new paper towel roll on rack in kitchen
25. return to living room with paper towel and clean up spilled water!
sit down to Blog about it
...need coffee......
sigh.

We made it to Newark........
Our 8:20am flight was canceled...
Stand-by on the 1:20pm flight....
Confirmed seats on the 3:40pm flight.......
Has made for a long day's night.
Update:
1pm flight was made....
The driveway is a sheet of ice under a couple of inches of snow...I saw it up close and personal....
Cats were petted...
Coffee was drunk...
Nap was taken....
All seems right at the moment...Have a good weekend all.

Afternoon - um - er- ah Delight?
I'm not so sure about this new couch in the room at the hotel...somebody has an strange idea of fashionable renovations. Quite the conversation piece.
Let's all keep our fingers crossed that our flight home tonight isn't canceled or delayed. The flights coming west are pretty messed up at the moment - mostly non-existent - our flight home originates in Anchorage - Thank goodness AND it's still on schedule.

Time Flew.................
Oh my....times flies when one is adventuring around in the Endless Ocean - I've enjoyed playing the game even though I've reached that plateau where I'm not getting as much "stuff". Actually that frog fish is beginning to annoy me - I may have a staler on my fins.
It's been snowing a lot out there...16 inches, then another 4-5 on top of that with some ice mixed in for good measure. things got bad enough out there that schools were closed - not all that common around here. I think we are supposed to get some more tonight maybe...then again Sunday night...hhhmmm just as long as our flight leaves Sunday morning, I'm good.
Moving right along.....sigh...Roomba ran away this morning. Guess he thought the grass was greener in the kitchen as he broke through the barrier to move freely about. Silly, Roomba....as with all run-a-ways, nothing good comes from it all. Yup, he roamed and roamed and he kept exploring new areas...they got seedier and seedier. He managed to escape from the laundry room but I found him alone, broke and whining by the den door. I cleaned him up and brought him back to the safety of the living room once more. I certainly hope he learned something from his experiences.
I'm enjoying ( enjoying? - finding interesting?)the Presidential primaries and caucuses...I think we just may have a horse race on our hands for a change. My man is doing okay and I'm pleased to say I picked him about 18 months ago when I first became aware of him. Fresh....;-D We get to vote in our primary March 4th - hey it might even mean something to someone this year.
Oh look - it's starting to snow...wwweeee....wiiiiiiiii......
