June in Seattle
It would be Friday in Seattle which means I'm homeless after checking out...waiting the 12 hours until our flight leaves tonight. that is IF our flight leaves tonight verses tomorrow morning sometime. "Please find your seats and stowe your belongings as quickly as possible for an ontime departure..." In my next career I can be a flight attendant - Lords knows I know how to fasten my seat belt.
Be that as it may, My sister-in-law and I made another trip to the zoo to see the butterfly & Blooms exhibit:
We wandered into some areas we missed last time and came upon an eagles nest..with eagles in it!
Outside the zoo's south entrance is a beatiful rose garden:
I'd miss the Pike Place Market Festival and march of the Piggies but they are in place all around the city awaiting auctioning for charities later
...and on a sad note...the baby elephant we saw at the zoo last time I went died a couple of weeks ago...I'm not sure they know as yet what the cause was. He was only 6 years old and had been born at the zoo and certainly one of the favorites. He'll be missed especially by the children of Seattle.
...and on a happy note...Kathy, head of housekeeping here at the marriott, just came by with a bowl of popcorn and some treats for me...isn't that nice! Yum

What the Hail?
We had a bit of a hail storm Saturday afternoon
So I scooped up a panful
I don't recall ever seeing hail this big before..it sure made some holes in my Hostas leaves
