A whole lot of nothing...

Since I last posted something here...

I did some real work..month end, quarter end, year end stuff. I finished gathering company tax documents and got them off to the accountants.

Had a bizzarre weekend with my sisters-in-law and my mother-in-law who told us she wouldn't be lasting the day all the while pulling aside the oxygen mask to chow down on the cookies hospice provided us.

Went to Seattle for a week. Had some fun visits with my brother and sister-in-law.

My mother-in-law died. We flew back home to VT. Our sons and sisters-in-law stayed with us again. Everyone was just awesome.

We packed and cleared everything out of "the home" by the end of the month. Goodness, she had a lot of stuff.

We "used" my Mother-in-law's clout as a founder of the Ben-e-fit shop to get someone to come get her clothes and stuff and then got yelled at because I didn't want them to have everything right away...we wanted to give the staff and residents at the home first crack at the stuff we were leaving. The Ben-e-Fit shop volunteer turned it back on me..."she was one of the founders of the shop, you know, she would have wanted her things donated there" umm..yes she would and there will be some there ..soon. I gave her a bag of shoes and a bag with a heart and a lung pillow in it with promises of more to follow in a few days. I'm generous to a fault.

I know I have been busy...I know I've done other things...guess just not too much I think would be of interest to the blog world at large.

Oh yeah..I snowed last night and it's going to be really really cold again. The sun is out, it's February, so I think it must be really really cold already....guess we'll go to Seattle again on Sunday.

Ok so maybe Greg isn't looking but it's a good photo otherwise of Morna, Demian, Maura and Kieran..and oh yeah, his father Herbie on the wall....;-D (taken Dec 31, 2006)

so sorry about your loss. I have your blog rss feed in my Google reader, so I picked up when you posted. Take care, my friend, and be well. Seattle is having some cold nights, a little rain today, but otherwise more normal--for Seattle, anyway :)

Dear Son with the real goatee....I believe that was Demian's "I'm taking Christmas/New Years weeks for vacation and growing a goatee because I can" goatee.
