Catching Up
I've drafted a few entries before now but the content has been my whining about the red-eye back from Seattle even when I tried to write about what I wasn't going to whine about.
Suffice it to say, the trip consisted of overhead bin hogging, another passenger having the volumne very high on his earphones, no connecting gate information and surly Customer Service agents....
Upon arriving at home, we discovered cold, evidence of snow having fallen, cat clawed opening next to air conditioner, escaped cat, cat clawed opening in corner of cat food bag, satiated cat....
I'll leave it to your own deductive skills to ascertain which cat had escaped and which cat was satiated.
We're all fine and all recovered, no lasting harm. I've even managed to get some laundry done and made food. It's rained and been generally nasty weather wise but then again, that gives me an excuse to ignore the layer of leaves on the lawn...;-D I'm really good at that.
In the news....never mind; the news drives me crazy. I can't wait to have the elections over. I'm tired of all the ads..spin doctored and half truths. Besides, we need a whole new group of politicians to complain about...;-D
Have a fine day all....

Got Space Needle?
So here we are in Seattle again this week. Hmmm it rained today. Didn't the weather people get the memo I was coming? I hate rain! Oh well, it was a down day anyway; recovering from traveling across the country in a middle seat..those upgrades and airline status can't be acquired soon enough thank you! Hey I'm not spoiled, just practical...if one does this frequently then the middle seat does become an issue.
I found one local upscale grocery store today...not bad. It certainly beats getting a microwave pot pie out of the hotel stash in the lobby or eating out.
BTW..have you mozilla/firefox users noticed my blog looks better? Greg fixed it for me because yes, I finally switched to mozilla. Ok so I'm not the early adaptor the rest of my family is but I get there eventually. pppssst guess I shouldn't say stuff like this outloud in Bill Gates land huh?
Moving right along...our baby turns 29 years old this week...how did that happen?
Did you know that a limo from the airport is the same price as a yellow cab? Well nearly...;-D $5 and a non sticky non smelly seat gets you a comfy ride to the hotel....and there's no middle seat!!
Have a fine evening all....I'll be back some more this week

Want fries with this ketchup?
So Yes, Again, I must admit I'm still alive and well but hardly Bloggin in Vermont. I have no idea what I've been doing for the last 2 weeks but I really haven't been bored or at a lost.
I did manage to do some real work such as Month and Quarter end work. Always a thrill to finish that up. I might have read some books; I might have done some Sudoku puzzles, I might have caught up on visiting my friends; I might have slept and ate and cooked and cleaned. Ok, maybe I'm pushing it with the cleaning stuff but I have done laundry a few times and wandered off to the dry cleaners.
Leo's coming back! Nothing major; just getting him to finish up the last 2% of each project..sealing shingles, pouring cement to make a step; diverting that nasty rain off the front porch yet again...;-D It will be nice to have him around again for a bit.
Fall is here...I can tell by all the leaves on the ground having um..er...ah...fallen off the trees. There are plenty more to come so I won't have to worry my little self about getting out there any too soon to rake them. Finally the colors of the leaves popped!
Rats..I wrote more stuff but lost it in a spellchecker...rats. Maybe I'll find it again later...Have a good day all

Yeah I'm here...
I think the amount of time it takes for me to "bounce back" from long boring uncomfortable flights has increased along with my age. That and the fact that since we have not flown steadily for a couple of years means neither one of us has any airline status and we are flying in the "back of the bus" again. ...and I'm here to say, I've been on buses more comfortable than the brand new 737s I've been on lately. I still contend that the person in the middle seat should get the use of both armrests..unless of course I am in one of the other seats. This only happens if I'm flying alone, in other words, it doesn't happen.
Never get comfortable with the thought you have a 2-3 hour layover in some airport for your connecting flight; if you do, you will end up using it all up at your home airport with delayed flights and end up sprinting to make your connection. I really hate sprinting with my 30 pound computer bag...and yes I need everything in it; I checked.
Yes, it's true. There IS indeed an evil scheduler who has nothing better to do than figure out how each and every single traveler has the farthest distance possible to travel between arrival and departure gates in the shortest amount of time. Unless of course said traveler actually HAS the 2-3 hour layover in which case the arrival and departure gates are next to each other and all the food/drink kiosks are closed. (too early/too late)
Ok Ok..enough complaining. I'm pretty much recovered from venturing off to Seattle and back. I did very little while there since I used up one full day recovering from waiting, flying, sprinting, flying. I hunted down parts to fix my suitcase which lost/broke it's feet. So what if it took me a bit to wonder why it kept falling over. The poor thing only has a few hundred thousand miles on it..geesh, our cars don't have that much combined and they are 5 and 7 years old!
So I spent the weekend sleeping and eating and getting Greg repacked then I settled in to catch up on a few shows I've been wanting to see..hello TIVO. Grey's Anatomy...oh yeah...Dereck and Addison, sad, end of marriage, sigh,..what's that? Bathroom door opening? Dereck turns in answer to the noise...Ding " Do you want to delete this recording?" Huh? What? Hey!!! The show's not over yet!! Hey wait! Who's in the bathroom!!!??? Stop!! I mean Go!! Why didn't you keep recording?? ACCCKKKKKKKK!!!!!!
Whew...at least I have kids who watch/record these shows too. I made a phone call. AND.. I recorded Six Degrees after it so I did get to see who was in the bathroom, anyway....whew.
So I guess I'll catch up on some real work today. Month end and Quarter end are upon me...
Have a fine day all....
