How wet is it?
Yeah, I know you want to ask....
It's so wet we had a beaver in the back yard this afternoon looking for some new digs. Great, that's all we need..a damn dam.
We have lived in this house for 23 years, tomorrow. We've had raccoon, and fox, ducks and oppossum, ground hogs, stray cats & dogs, skunks, and a few too many strange 2 legged folks, but we have never had a beaver to my knowledge. Today the beavers are scouting out the turf...now that's wet.
The sun is out at the moment but there was torrential rain a few hours ago...it'll come again I'm sure.
Update...I lied..he/she weren't no stinking beaver...I caught her bringing a mouthful of leaves under the porch....and there she is now!

I'm thinking she must be a very large (pregnant?) groundhog although she has a pretty bushyflatish short tail

she's still pretty cute - hope she sticks around - it'll be fun for the kitties to have baby groundhogs to play with

How much wood can a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood. Guess a woodchuck is a groundhog - depends on where you is standin'. she's been running back and forth with piles of leaves then taking a break for a few snacks out in the "back 40". I am concerned about how she will take to Knoel and ~Elmo though. I don't want anyone to get hurt.

If you need any help in moving her, Tom is pretty good at that. I can send him up hte week he has off....you and Greg can entertain him for me.
We have had over 15 inches of rain here TG we are high up enough from the creek ...now more like a river in teh back to not get any water near the house.
Stay safe.

A woodchuck would chuck just as much wood as a woodchuck could chuck wood.
