Drugs are good...
...drugs are our friends.
When one is taking vicadin and is fully aware of taking vicadin , feels no pain after half the staff of the OR has been up ones nose, then one can bet that the drug is doing it's job and one is not exactly as in control as one would avow. Actually I noticed there was probably a bit of an issue when I absolutely could not do an "easy" Sudoku puzzle. On further investigation of a puzzle I'd almost finished in my "semi-drugged" state, I could not believe the things I'd done. Willies...
That said, I am no longer taking vicadin and haven't had any since 6am yesterday morning. The packing is out of my nose but I still can't breathe yet. The splints come out Monday. Maybe I'll be able to breathe soon. Wasn't that the point of this surgery? I want to Breathe!
..pppsssttt...and Risa, what do you mean you've had these surgeries TWICE?? I'm not sure I'd want to do this again anytime soon.

The tale of two surgeries....
when I was 18 the ENT told my parents I had a deviated septum and needed the sinus surgery. So my parents in their infinite wisdom told the inmternist andhe had a fit and told htem only a plastic srugeon should do the surgery. so I had the first surgery done by a plastic surgeon. Needless to say it never cleared up the sinus problems. I had hte full sinus/turboplasty/window thingy at the age of 33 by my ENT this time. much better results.
I am glad you are feelign better.....
