Take your time and hurry...

It comes as no great suprise to us that we will be spending an extended period of time in CT when we leave tomorrow. Probably 3 weeks. Do we have enough cat supplies in house for 3 weeks? No. Do we have enough drugs on hand to take with us? umm..working on that. Have we acquired audio books for him? Nope. Are we the least bit packed? No. Are the clothes even clean? YES, but still in the laundry room. At least both cars are gassed up; we are taking two. One of them is um...filty. So I guess I have my day planned out for me...as I sit and write blog entries and surf eBay.

My cookbook came yesterday and I'm so hoping we get a big flurry of packages today before we leave. We have a few outstanding purchases...ahem...and I just can't believe we wouldn't have a few waiting for us after 3 weeks. Why just today there are more than a couple interesting looking vac pots to bid on...really..they are different than some of the ones we already have. Oh oh...and also found 2 glass double boilers that are soooo pretty...I don't really have a good double boiler, ya know...nope. what? You don't think I NEED a double boiler? Yeah, well what about those times I want to make chocolate dipped strawberries..huh? Huh? You like those don't you...I need a double boiler.

Today's coffee is Nepal Himalaya Everest Washed...not bad for one of them Eastern type coffees I'm not particularly fond of. ( pardon the dangling participle..."of which I'm not particularly fond" sounds so pretentious and I do realize I'm contributiong to the demise of civilized speech)

Book of the moment: the curious incident of the dog in the nigh-time by Mark Haddon. Hmmm...I think I Know this character in the book. Please read the descriptions and reviews on Amazon, then get the book. Thanks Morgan and Nora for the Christmas present and I'll pass it off to you soon...;-D

Moving right along...time to get a move on...have a fine weekend all!
