More ramblings..
Coffee of the day: We have been using the Jura Capresso superautomatic the last couple of days for our daily coffee..we are on the last of our Huehuetenago Greg roasted earlier this week. I just love those "wussy Central Americans"
Hehehe Risa asked in comments yesterday why we needed so many vac pots. and Gary over at Virtual Rants (good read)emailed and asked about french press vs vacuum brewing... Well, silly Risa...there she went and used that "need" word. Maybe at first the number of vac pots had to do with acquiring a good functioning usable vac pot. BUT then we found better ones, and different styles and colors and stoves and and and and...then it became a matter of collecting...there in lies the rub. A collection has nothing to do with need, right? And a French Press is a French Press is a French Press...basically....but then again...there are different sizes and some nicer than others too...hhhmmm. Will really have to do a pot in the French press today to compare brews. ahem..will have to check eBay for vintage French presses also.
update:a vintage French press didn't differ much from a new French press but I did find a really cool French Duck Press!
I have a project for today. We awoke suddenly to some crashing sound; I thought Knoel had knocked some stuff off the TV table in our room as he performed some of his more daring feats of acrobatics while taunting ~Elmo from the floor. "You can't catch me"... Upon opening my eyes, I realized all the clothes in the closet were in a pile on the floor...the bracket holding the rod had come out of the wall. Geesh..I knew I shouldn't have left all of Greg's summer shirts hanging in there! Now I'm going to have to find some new brackets and maybe even a reinforcing one for the middle of the rod. Hhhmmm...maybe a new rod even...I did notice it was sort of misshappened (bowed) a little last week. Damn those winter clothes are heavy. yeah that's it..heavy clothes. It had remained soooo nicely organized after installing the shoe racks and everything...yeah must remove those summer shirts.

As one who has actually seen the coffee pot extravaganza I can truly say you have to see it to believe it. And they do NEED all those pots. The coffee brewed in them is the best ever. I think there will be a new room built on to the house and Fran and Greg have certainly provide us with some entertainment this winter. In fact I NEED to make a trip up there to get my gold bean bags refilled. Much thanks to the J's xxoo Lizzie and Chuckie
