Friday stuff...
The sun is out! The 4 inches of snow is sitting there looking pretty and glistening but I must admit, I'm ready for it to be gone for the year. I know it's only February and winter probably has a few more good storms left in it. Bah Humbug...I see cabin fever on the rise. Having sunshine makes a huge difference for me though.
So, my college roomies and I had lunch together yesterday..what a hoot! Again, the 34 years just melts away and we are those people again sitting in the living room on Summit Street shrieking and holding our tummies with laughter. We actually went to the old college town for lunch...oh my goodness, I can't believe how huge the old alma mater is...I think there were maybe 5 whole buildings when I left the place and now there huge buildings in place of soccer fields and high rise dorms being built! Hhhmmm guess there are a few more students there now than in our day. Way to go state college...
Todays' agenda is to get myself in gear...pack up a few items and drive over to Stamford for the Birthday weekend. Mine and Kieran's. I guess Kieran doesn't read my blog so I shouldn't worry too much about ruining the surprise
I think I'll let the highway crews work a bit clearing the roads before I head out...Lord only knows what I-95 looks like. Is there any part of that road from FL to ME that isn't nasty??
I found the table at Goodwill for $5...bought the Duplos at Toys R Us and spent a fortune on paint and paintbrushes and fasteners for the canvas bags that I got at Michaels...isn't that the way though? BTW..I built that duck from Duplo direction but I made that house alllllllllllllllllllll by myself. (pppsssttt...now I'm afraid I'll be giving Kieran a used present. We'll be moving out of the apt at the end of next week and he was showingit to a couple with a little girl...I brought her over to the table and we had great fun palying while her parents looked around. Tom allowed as how the toy table and built in Grandma didn't go with the apartment. Sorry....

The Duplo Table is great! My kids would have loved that. I'm sure Kieran will too.
