Busy Busy...
I'm still alive! This week has gone very quickly for me...normally, I'd spend the day packing up and waiting to drive home. Alas...we get to stay here so the day will be spent doing laundry and errands. pppsssttt....Anyone got spare Euros laying around to send to France for a Hellum coffee pot? International eBays...who'da thought.
Actually I spent two days gathering the materials I needed to make something for Kieran's birthday next week. We'll see how that all goes. I figure the worse that can happen is I throw it out and say I was entertained for a week trying to make something...the best is he could pass it on down to his Grandchildren with the comments, "she was a nice lady and she loved me despite of her lack of talent." yeah yeah..it can show up on Antiques Roadshow 100 years from now as primitive folk art! That's the plan!
Yesterday, Nancy (my college Roommate of 35 years ago) and I went off to Putnum CT Antique capital of Eastern Connecticut. I was commenting that in all my antiqing travels, I have yet to find any of the Vac pots we are buying on eBay. Lo and Behold...I did find 4.5 of them. Two were overpriced..one was in good shape but we really didn't NEED it since we have one like it and one was in not so great shape and I really should have bought it because I couldn't readily identify it's make...meaning it may not have been all that common a piece and for $15 I should have bought it. Sigh. I did buy the .5 one...the bottom pot of a red glass Kent....works for me.
So there's my week all wrapped up. Maybe we'll go harrass our kids for the weekend if they will have us. Demian has tapped his sugar maples...good man...I saw in today's VT paper that they were tapping trees at home. Yup, a week earlier in CT is a good thing.
Have a good weekend all...........

Yum, maple sugar. You are a star for considering International eBay. The first time I shipped to Canada, I broke out in hives! Have a good weekend.

Hey Beth...we've bought several things internationally ..even using the international eBay boards. ...some of those translations can be a bitch! So far so good in spite of few glitches.
