Some chat......

BTW...we are drinking Maui coffee down here in New London and we didn't roast it ourselves either. Oooo the shame of it all. I went to a coffee shop in Groton on Monday who boasts they roast their own beans daily. He was about to blow me off as some toy roaster type until he asked what kind of beans we had..Greg said I should have lead with some African or Indonesian types instead of hitting him with Kopi Luwak . There's a reason I don't play cards well. Oh well....he was impressed...took me more seriously ..offered up information on a book Greg should have. I bought some of his Peruvian coffee beans to be polite.

Stove update: Looks like I'll be running on 3 burners for the rest of this week but by the time we come back there will be a new stove in place. Well it IS rather old. I think I can manage...I manage with 2 burners at HOME for heaven's sake and I don't even do too much real cooking here.

BTW..I'm trying something different with my comments...feel free. I wish lifetime of impotence for the comment spammers too.

I may have to give coffee a try, if only to try the exotic flavors.

Your coffees' sound wonderful. I think I can almost smell them. Now that I am retired, we may have to take a trip to Neil's old duth station in New London, so I can taste them first hand ;-)

yea, Blanche! Retirement is good...coming to visit is better! Snort...not to worry, Risa..I keep trying to convince Greg that it is best just to have the beans rather than roast and drink them. Heheheh DA...we'll get you yet.

First I thought, "What a funny name, Kopi Luwak. It sounds like one of Todd's Bionicle toys." Then I read where they come from. Eeeeewwwwww.
