Readin' & Watching...
Book updates.......I read Faye Kellerman's Stone Kiss and am now finishing up Nerd in Shining Armor by Vicki Lewis Thompson. Snort, the later is part of the Kelly Rippa book club selections. Cute. Ohhhhh I see she has selected other books I've read in the past...The Boy Next Door by Megan Cabot is written in email format...fun/mystery book too. Seems Kelly's book selections aren't quite as dark/deep as Oprah's.
We watched a couple of movies yesterday too...Gangs of New York and Fight Club. Yeah I know we are a little behind the times with both..especially Fight Club. I think we could have done with a little less gore in one day but what the heck. Actually I think I could have survived quite nicely not seeing either one of them....I think I need to see something a little more...ummm...something...how about Finding Nemo for contrast?
Laundry is done...again...work work work. I'm going to the zoo again today...meeting Blanche and her cohorts ( sister? nephew? niece? something like that) A fun time will be had by all.

I've still yet to see Gangs of New York, but count Fight Club, and the statements it makes as an incredible touch-stone of our society... Though I'm not sure I could handle the end scenes very well in our post-9/11 world.

You are right, Morgan...the end scenes of "Fight Club" are disconcerting to say the least. AND the end scenes of Gangs of New York when they show the structural growth of NYC..obviously shot before 9/11.

We smiled...we had fun at the zoo although we didn't stay all day. Who left the hilly part near the end of the zoo trail???
